Symposium on 'Spatial cognition in robotics'

Spatial Cognition is concerned with the acquisition, organization, use and
update of knowledge about spatial environments. These capabilities enable
humans to manage basic and high-level cognitive tasks in everyday life.
The aim of this symposium is to bring together researchers which address
the problem of Spatial Cognition from the perspective of the Robotics
research community, and to share our experiences with researchers from
other space-related scientific disciplines (behavioural, cognitive,
computational, developmental, neuroanatomical, physiological, social).

If you are interesting to participate, please send us the tentative title
of the contribution and the names of the authors to ajbandera@uma.es. We
need to submit the symposium proposal before October 31!

The topics of the symposium include, but are not limited to:

- multimodal perception,
- spatio-temporal reasoning,
- active spatial exploration,
- conceptualization and scene classification,
- grammars for scenes,

- objects in context: scenes and objects,
