Assistant/Associate Professorship within Medical Image Analysis at the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen, Denmark
About the position
The Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen, Denmark seeks an assistant or associate professor within Medical Image Analysis to support the current activities and extend the collaboration with clinical partners including
· Danish Research Center for Magnetic Resonance, Copenhagen University Hospital Hvidovre
· Pulmonary Medicine Department, Gentofte Hospital
· Department of Clinical Physiology, Nuclear Medicine & PET, Copenhagen University Hospital which has just been granted a PET/MR scanner
Duties may include the successful applicant’s own research, development of the field, assessment tasks, grant applications, and research management such as supervision and training of research fellows and other staff. The successful applicant must also teach, prepare and participate in examinations, and fulfil other tasks requested by the Department. The position is open from 1 February 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will hold a PhD in mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science or similar and have a solid background in several of the activities:
· Medical image analysis
· Methodological foundation of medical image analysis
· Translation of medical image analysis to the clinic
in areas such as
· Neurology
· Lung Medicine
· Radiation therapy
using techniques like
· Segmentation
· Registration
· Shape modeling
· Image reconstruction
