Associate Professorship within Mathematical Foundations of Image Analysis at the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen, Denmark

 

About the position

Duties may include the successful applicant’s own research, development of the field, assessment tasks, grant applications, and research management such as supervision and training of research fellows and other staff. The successful applicant must also teach, prepare and participate in examinations, and fulfill other tasks requested by the Department. The position is open from 1 January 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter. 

 

Qualifications

The successful applicant will hold a PhD in mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science or similar and have a solid background in several of the below-mentioned disciplines:

·         Mathematical foundation of image analysis

·         Numerical solutions to variation and optimization problems  in imaging

·         Statistical foundation of image analysis
