Special Issue Call for Papers
MG&V invites submission to its 2012 Special Issue on
MOTION CAPTURE SYSTEMS FOR ANALYSIS OF HUMAN GAIT
AND THEIR MEDICAL AND BIOMETRIC APPLICATIONS
Edited by: Małgorzata Syczewska - The Children's Memorial Health Institute,

Motion capture (MOCAP) systems are widely used in many application fields, including clinical analysis, sports, biometrics, arts, entertainment, computer games, military applications, and many others. The extremely wide range of their applications enforces a natural division of MOCAP systems into more specialized areas, which implies the necessity to create platforms for discussion and opinion exchange in all such areas.
Analysis of human gait belongs to central applications fields for MOCAP systems. The purpose of the Special Issue is to encourage and promote publication of results of original research, as well as survey papers in this area.
Submissions are expected to deal with motion capture systems for the analysis of human gait. The topics of interest include, without limitations:
· Analysis of human motion dynamics
· Human skeletal models and their estimation
· Applications of human motion capture systems to person identification
· Diagnosis of gait abnormalities based on motion capture systems
· Multi-channel systems for capturing human motion
Contributions in other areas related to the analysis of human gait and its applications are also invited.
